NCSoft's massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Aion 2 has started global early access and climbed to No. 1 in Steam's global revenue rankings.

NCSoft said on Wednesday that it began global early access for Aion 2 on Sept. 30 local time. Buyers of the founders pack can access the game before its official release. The official service is set to begin on Oct. 5.

The global service is provided through PC game platform Steam and Purple. Servers operate in four regions: North America, South America, Europe and Japan. The game supports eight languages, including English, Japanese, French, German and Spanish.

On Sept. 30, its first day of early access, Aion 2 ranked No. 1 by revenue on Steam's global "Top Sellers" chart. It also topped revenue rankings in 12 countries, including the United States, France, Germany, Spain and Brazil.

Before its official release, the number of Steam wishlist registrations surpassed 1.3 million.

NCSoft also released a launch trailer to coincide with the start of early access. The video includes major content such as free flight and aerial combat, battles between the Elyos and Asmodians, player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP).
