French transport minister says Tesla FSD is not autonomous driving, approval put on hold

France has put on hold approval of Tesla’s driver-supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) assistance feature, saying the system in its current state allows speeding and does not adequately ensure driver attention in urban settings. Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot said the safety balance was not yet sufficient and described FSD as not an autonomous driving system. France is seeking an EU-aligned approval framework and is continuing technical talks with the Netherlands and Tesla.

U.S. used electric vehicle prices rise, holders gain and buyers face higher costs

Used electric vehicle prices in the United States are rising again this year. Recurrent calculated prices have climbed 5.1 percent since January, with vehicles priced below $20,000 up 9.4 percent from January to June. Several models posted gains, while used EVs above $40,000 continued to fall. A cryptocurrency bull market needs retail investor money to return, and the clearest signal could appear in Dogecoin, an analysis says. Market analyst Jordi Visser says crypto prices are rising but the speculative energy driven by individual investors that powered late-stage rallies in past bull markets is still lacking. He points to his equal-weight index of 40 crypto-related firms, protocols and assets, which has moved above mid-June highs while bitcoin remains just below.
