BlackRock\'s IBIT bitcoin spot ETF surpasses GLD in daily trading

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF, IBIT, rose more than 5 percent in daily trading and outpaced the SPDR Gold Shares ETF, GLD, in both trading volume and gains. IBIT posted $1.56 billion in turnover, ranking fifth among ETFs, while GLD recorded $907.64 million and ranked ninth. IBIT traded around $45.81 to $45.86, while GLD was near $398.96 with a 0.15 percent rise.

Solana jumps above $112 as BSOL volume tops $85 million

Solana rose to $112, gaining about 11 percent in a day and marking its highest level since January. Bitwise’s Solana staking ETF, BSOL, climbed 12.04 percent to $15.54, with trading volume already at $85 million. U.S. Treasuries yielding around 5 percent a year could become a more attractive investment than bitcoin and gold, a forecast said. Citing Bloomberg Intelligence chief macro strategist Mike McGlone, a report said he singled out U.S. Treasuries as the key beneficiary of shifting capital. He described the current macro backdrop as the final phase for risk assets. He also pointed to Fed tightening, yields nearing 5 percent and rising energy-price pressure.
