Jensen Huang\'s five-day visit leaves Nvidia footprint in South Korea\'s AI ecosystem

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (젠슨 황) left South Korea after a five-day visit that analysts say helped broaden the company’s AI cooperation with Korean firms. Nvidia expanded work with SK Hynix on next-generation memory, and discussed AI data centre projects with Naver and SK Telecom using its DSX platform. The cooperation also extends into manufacturing, mobility and robotics with groups including LG and Hyundai Motor.

AI-driven component stocks stay firm despite memory swings

Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have shown sharp volatility in South Korean trading, but Samsung Electro-Mechanics and LG Innotek have been less affected, as component demand is seen as separate from memory-price moves. Concerns rose after reports that memory content for Nvidia’s next-generation Vera CPU could be reduced, but the industry view is that the change reflects supply constraints rather than weaker demand. Long-term supply agreements are also spreading.

Nvidia, SK Hynix sign long-term AI factory memory supply deal

Nvidia and SK Hynix have signed a long-term technology partnership to develop next-generation memory and accelerate semiconductor design and manufacturing to support AI factory construction worldwide, they said on Sunday. SK Hynix will co-develop memory for Nvidia platforms including the Vera Rubin AI supercomputer, Vera CPU, RTX Spark PC and Jetson Thor robotics computing platform. The companies will also apply AI tools to chip design workflows and build fab digital twins for factory automation.
