Shinhan Bank said on Thursday it signed a strategic business agreement with Hyundai Engineering & Construction to introduce a wealth management model that combines housing and finance, centered on Apgujeong redevelopment complexes. The plan links Hyundai E&C’s high-end housing brand THE H with Shinhan Financial Group’s Shinhan Premier brand to offer tailored services. Shinhan Bank plans a dedicated resident consulting space and programs such as seminars and market outlook lectures, and will expand the model to areas including Banpo and Cheongdam.

South Korea\'s securities firms are stepping up rate competition as the issuing-notes market grows to 54 trillion won. Hana Securities and NH Investment & Securities raised rates after newer entrants increased returns. Sales of promotional products by Hana, Shinhan Investment Corp and Kiwoom Securities sold out quickly. Despite the market\'s rapid expansion, regulatory reviews of issuing-notes approvals for Samsung Securities and Meritz Securities have not been concluded.
