Shinhan Bank said on Friday it will introduce differentiated wealth management services linked to the shopping experience through a strategic partnership with Shinsegae Department Store from Feb. 1.
Under the partnership, Shinsegae Department Store’s top-tier VIP customers, Black Diamond and above, can easily apply for one-on-one wealth management consultations through a dedicated channel within the Shinsegae Department Store app. Shinhan Bank will provide tailored wealth management services centred on its Shinhan Premier family office and PWM, based on the customer’s asset size and life cycle. It also set up dedicated benefits for new transaction customers.
The two companies also linked major Shinsegae Department Store branches with Shinhan Bank’s premium wealth management centres to improve customer convenience. Shinsegae Gangnam will be linked to the Shinhan Premier family office Banpo Centre and Cheongdam Centre, respectively. Daegu Shinsegae will be matched with the Shinhan Premier PWM Daegu Centre, creating a partnership structure that considers geographic accessibility and customer movement routes.
Shinhan Bank also plans to regularise the provision of wealth management content reflecting customer interests, including real estate, investment and market outlooks, through the partnership.
For ultra-high-net-worth customers, it will also provide one-on-one customised consulting through Shinhan Premier Pathfinder, led by macroeconomic expert Gun-young Oh (오건영). Specialists in areas such as business succession, real estate, financial investment and tax will participate. Shinhan Bank also plans to expand customer touchpoints by running specialised content such as the newly introduced Shinhan Premier Pathfinder special lectures this year, as well as the Shinhan Premier real estate academy.
Shinhan Bank plans to continue expanding new types of wealth management touchpoints that combine retail and finance, using the partnership with Shinsegae Department Store as a catalyst. It also plans to further advance differentiated wealth management services.
A Shinhan Bank official said, "This partnership is an example of expanding financial services so customers can naturally experience them in everyday life, rather than in a model where customers come looking for the service." The official added, "We will continue to strengthen differentiated wealth management competitiveness centred on Shinhan Premier."
