Woori Financial to support sports prospects with 3 billion won over 10 years as Woori Momocon ends
Woori Financial Group will invest 3 billion won over 10 years through 2036 to foster promising young athletes, backing 60 prospects each year through a long-term social contribution programme. The group said it held the 2026 Woori Momocon at Seoul Land in Gwacheon on Sept. 19 and officially announced its Woori Dream Bridge support plan. A launch ceremony was attended by Chairman Yim Jong-yong, Woori Bank ambassador Jang Won-young and singer Sean.

Woori Financial launches Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games cheering campaign narrated by IU
Woori Financial Group is launching a campaign to support South Korea’s national team athletes and sports prospects competing at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The group said it will release a new cheering campaign video on Sept. 18 as an official sponsor of Team Korea, narrated by IU. It will also operate a Team Korea fan park at an event in Gwacheon on the Games’ opening day.

SK hynix to pay 304.7 billion won in supplier bills early ahead of Chuseok
SK hynix said on Wednesday it will pay about 304.7 billion won in bills to partner companies early ahead of the Chuseok holiday. It said the move aims to ease suppliers\' liquidity burdens during periods of concentrated funding demand such as major holidays, alongside institutional support. The company also cited continued financial and operational support, plans to use 1.4 trillion won in shared-growth funds, and an October event for suppliers and their families.
