Woori Financial Group is running a campaign to support South Korea’s national team athletes and sports prospects competing at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

Woori Financial said it will release a new cheering campaign video on Sept. 18 as an official sponsor of the Korean Sport and Olympic Committee and South Korea’s national team, Team Korea. IU, the group’s advertising model, narrated the video.

The video features modern pentathlon athlete Tae-jun Yang (양태준), table tennis player Seon-i Gu (구서니) and boxer Ye-won Kim (김예원) appearing in person, with a message of supporting both current and future national team athletes. Athletes participating in Woori Financial’s sports prospect development programme, Woori Dream Bridge, also appear.

On Sept. 19, the opening day of the Asian Games, it will operate a Team Korea fan park and hold a cheering event at the 2026 Woori Momocon in Seoul Land in Gwacheon.

Woori Bank also prepared a separate cheering event. As part of the "Cheer up! Woori!" campaign, chef Seong-jun Kwon (권성준) and Dan-bi Kim (김단비) of the Woori Bank women’s basketball team visited the Jincheon Athletes’ Village and delivered "Himnaeyu! Tiramisu!" made with Jincheon local specialities to athletes. A related video will be released on Sept. 18 through Woori Bank’s official YouTube channel.

Jun-tae Park (박준태), head of the brand strategy division at Woori Financial Holdings, said, "We are cheering for the national team athletes to achieve good results at this Asian Games."
