Storage company SanDisk has posted the highest return among major stocks, cryptocurrencies, commodities and indexes so far in 2026, with its shares up about 509 percent from Jan. 1 to May 20. DeXe rose 363 percent, while Intel and Seagate also gained. Bitcoin fell from early-year levels and gold retreated after a record high. SanDisk cited sharply higher revenue and a large cloud order backlog.

Sandisk unveiled next-generation portable SSDs and a revamped consumer storage lineup, including three pocket-sized portable models and three internal SSDs under its new SANDISK Optimus branding. The top Extreme PRO portable SSD offers up to 4,000MB/s and can transfer about 10 minutes of 12K video in under 1 minute, with 2TB and 4TB models launching first. Products will roll out through major domestic retail channels, with prices to be disclosed later.
