Samsung Display expands PhD-level hiring across United States
Samsung Display has expanded its PhD-level recruitment in the United States from the West Coast to across the country. It is shifting to a format that tours key cities with local hiring events and has introduced a programme in which senior executives meet students directly. The company held a tech forum in Los Angeles, inviting about 50 doctoral candidates, and plans additional sessions starting in San Jose and continuing to cities including Chicago, Boston and Atlanta.

Nvidia aims for local AI supercomputer demand with Claw ecosystem
Nvidia is targeting South Korea as its first demand base for autonomous AI agents, promoting a full-stack package spanning OpenClaw, a security container called OpenShell and an enterprise service called NemoClaw, alongside DGX Spark hardware to run large models locally. It showcased its Build-a-Claw hands-on programme in Seoul. Nvidia positions local deployment as a way to reduce accumulating API costs and address security concerns, while pushing demand for DGX Spark and RTX systems.

Squeezebits signs MOU with Modular
Squeezebits, a startup focused on AI model compression and optimisation, has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Silicon Valley AI infrastructure startup Modular Inc. Modular develops the Mojo programming language and the MAX inference framework and has an enterprise value of $1.6 billion. The companies will work on integrated AI infrastructure from model compression through execution optimisation and expand MAX into multimodal areas such as image and video generation.
