Game industry teams up with Samsung foldables on Galaxy themes based on game IP

South Korean game companies are expanding major game intellectual property into Galaxy themes timed with Samsung Electronics\' launch of new foldable smartphones. Netmarble, Nexon, Haejin and HoYoverse Korea unveiled special themes for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8, applying characters and game worlds to lock screens, wallpapers, icons and ringtones. Themes are offered as purchase benefits via Galaxy Store and through NFC-based in-store体验 events at five Samsung Store locations.

Samsung Electronics Service expands Baro Service to Busan, South Jeolla and North Gyeongsang

Samsung Electronics Service said it has expanded its in-store \"Baro Service\" counters to seven locations by adding three hubs in Busan, South Jeolla and North Gyeongsang from May 18. The company launched a pilot at four sites in Seoul and Gyeonggi in October last year. It said average daily users in January to April rose more than 30 percent from October to December. The service offers device checks, repairs and consultations at Samsung Stores.

Samsung kicks off promotion to expand AI TV market ahead of World Cup

Samsung Electronics is running a promotion tied to the North and Central America World Cup season to help expand adoption of its 2026 AI TVs optimised for sports viewing. The campaign runs for two months from May 1 at Samsung Store and Samsung.com, as well as retailers including Hi-Mart and Electronics Land. Customers who trade in an existing TV can receive Samsung membership points, and an online event offers cashback to selected reviewers.
