Samsung Electronics will expand collaboration with game companies ahead of the Galaxy S26 launch. Samsung Electronics said on Thursday it will work with domestic and overseas game companies in line with the Galaxy S26 series release to introduce special Galaxy themes and accessories.
The collaboration targets mobile game users in their 10s and 30s with content using characters and storylines from popular games such as Genshin Impact and Battlegrounds. The Galaxy S26 Ultra features a Galaxy-only processor, improving NPU performance by 39 percent from the previous model, while CPU and GPU performance increases by up to 19 percent and 24 percent, respectively. It applies a vapor chamber to maintain stable performance even while running high-spec games.
Samsung Electronics will give customers who buy the Galaxy S26 series from March 6 to April 30 special Galaxy themes for eight popular games. The eligible games are Genshin Impact, Battlegrounds Mobile, Honkai: Star Rail, Wuthering Waves, Arknights: Endfield, Seven Knights Re:Birth, CookieRun: Oven Smash and MapleStory.
The special Galaxy themes are designed using popular characters and key features from each game. They consist of lock screens and wallpapers, app icons, alarms and ringtones using game sounds, and sound effects. Users can download them from the event page in the Galaxy Store app.
Samsung Electronics will also work with three games - Wuthering Waves, Honkai: Star Rail and Mabinogi Mobile - to introduce Galaxy S26 series accessories such as mobile cases. The accessories collaboration proceeded following production requests from game users who want to experience game storylines in everyday life.
Offline events will also be operated. Samsung Electronics will run a game-themed participation event at the Samsung Store Hongdae Galaxy Studio. Users can download special themes by tagging NFC cards placed on site. It will operate Galaxy S26 series experience zones at game experience spaces including the HoYoverse Genshin Cafe in Seoul in Hongdae, the Genshin PC Lounge in Seoul, Krafton PUBG Seongsu in Seongsu, and the Nexon Maple Lounge in Gangnam.
Jeong Ho-jin (정호진), vice president of Samsung Electronics' Korea business, said, "We are actively expanding collaboration with game companies so game users can experience the new Galaxy S26 series products in a different way." He added, "We will continue differentiated game marketing by collaborating with popular games that customers in their 10s and 30s like."
