Samsung SDS steps up push into physical AI to roll out robot orchestration platform next year
Samsung SDS is accelerating its push into the physical AI market, leveraging expertise built in manufacturing and its manufacturing execution system capabilities. The company unveiled a physical AI strategy focused on robotics transformation at an enterprise conference in Seoul and created new RX teams within its cloud services division. It formed the Team REX robotics partnership with 10 global firms and is pursuing investment and cooperation with Walden Robotics. It plans to launch a robot orchestration platform from 2027.

Samsung SDS says second-quarter cloud revenue rises 17 percent, external business up 75 percent
Samsung SDS on Wednesday reported preliminary second-quarter revenue of 3.72 trillion won and operating profit of 231.8 billion won. Revenue rose 5.9 percent from a year earlier and operating profit increased 0.7 percent. IT services revenue rose 5 percent to 1.76 trillion won, with cloud revenue up 17 percent to 779.4 billion won. External cloud business revenue climbed 75 percent.

MegazoneCloud named Samsung Cloud Platform platinum partner, top tier
AI and cloud company MegazoneCloud said on Monday it has been selected as a top-tier platinum partner in Samsung SDS\' Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP) partner programme. The company said it is the only platinum partner in the programme. MegazoneCloud was upgraded to platinum partner within a year after obtaining advanced partner status in August last year. Partner grades are assigned based on factors including new contracts, business performance, training completion and certifications.
