Smilegate to recruit third Stove Crew supporter group, expand internship opportunities
Smilegate said on April 6 it will recruit the third class of Stove Crew, the official supporter group for its global game platform Stove. Participants play games on the platform and produce reviews and social media content. Eligibility has been expanded to people in their 20s who want to become content creators, including past participants. The activity runs from June to December for seven months, covering key titles and new games. Internship slots and prizes were increased.

Smilegate renewed as self-rating operator, keeps status for 5 years
Smilegate said on March 3 it has been redesignated as a self-rating operator under a support programme for the indie ecosystem and creators, keeping the qualification for 5 years. It said it has operated the system stably since obtaining the status in 2023. The renewal extends the qualification from March 3 through March 2, 2031. The company plans to strengthen platform capabilities and continue support for developers and publishers.

Smilegate announces winners of 2025 Stove Indie Awards
Smilegate\'s global gaming platform Stove announced the winners of the 2025 Stove Indie Awards on Tuesday. The awards spotlight games and creators released in early access or formally launched through Stove Indie over the past year that delivered meaningful results for the platform and users. The top prize, Game of the Year, went to \'Clair Obscur: Expedition 33\'. The Top 10 also included multiple titles, while user-voted categories recognised works including \'Love, Please Stir Me a Cup!\' and \'Hospital x Life\'.
