Smilegate said on Jan. 20 that its global game platform Stove will participate in Taipei Game Show 2026, held from Jan. 29 to Feb. 1 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center in Taiwan.

Taipei Game Show is a major comprehensive gaming event in the Asia Pacific region that has been held annually since 2003. More than 350,000 visitors attend each year.

Smilegate will take part as the main title sponsor of the B2C zone’s Indie House. Indie House is a space where indie game developers from around the world unveil their latest works and interact directly with users. Smilegate will run a Stove-branded booth in Indie House and plans to present a space where visitors can try “K-indie games” and experience the platform’s various benefits.

Smilegate will run the booth under the “STOVE PLAY TOUR” theme with the slogan “Open Smilegate, Explore K-Game Worlds.” It will showcase 6 indie titles from its publishing lineup, including the Korean horror game “Golmokgil: Gwihon,” as well as “Maid of the Storm,” “Saniyang Lab,” “No Over-Immersion 2: Summer Pocha,” “Archetype Blue” and “The Player Who Can’t Level Up.” It said it designed the lineup to introduce works with different genres and sensibilities in one place so local users can experience the broad spectrum of K-indie games.

Smilegate will also run an online showcase linked to the Stove platform, rather than limiting the game show to an offline exhibition. During the Taipei Game Show, it will deliver a presentation at the Asia Pacific Game Summit under the theme “A New Path for Indie Game Growth and Success: Smilegate Stove Platform and Ecosystem.”

The participation is the third offline exhibition introducing Stove to Chinese-language users, following WePlay 2025 held in Shanghai, China, and Taiwan’s G-EIGHT 2025 last year. Smilegate is linking those events to expand touchpoints with users in Asia and to accelerate the global spread of K-indie games. It plans to strengthen the competitiveness of the Stove platform and its publishing capabilities and continue expanding beyond Asia into global markets.
