Dassault Systemes Korea said its new virtual companions, Leo and Marie, unveiled at 3DExperience World 2026, implement engineering AI in practice, distinct from large language models. The preview versions are due for an official launch in the first half, with usage-based pricing likely. The company said customers’ in-house data, kept private from outside access, will determine effectiveness, requiring internal design data to be reorganised and optimised for AI.

Industry moves to use AI across manufacturing processes from design to production are accelerating, with some saying AI is changing the DNA of manufacturing. Dassault Systemes executives say a platform-centric structure is emerging in which data is shared in real time across departments and systems and used directly for decision-making. They say AI can help address labor shortages, supply chain issues and imbalances between faster design and slower production.
