Fed chair \'no inflation easing\' comment rattles markets; bitcoin slips below $64,000

Bitcoin rose above $64,400 right after the U.S. Federal Reserve kept its policy rate unchanged, but slid back below $64,000 after Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s hawkish remarks. South Korea stock market value down 1,386 trillion won this month; 6,000 trillion line at risk

South Korean stocks have extended a sharp slide, cutting the combined market capitalisation of the KOSPI and KOSDAQ by nearly 19 percent so far this month. Korea Exchange data showed the combined value stood at 6,057.134 trillion won at Monday’s close, down 1,386.351 trillion won since June 30. Market value has fallen sharply amid worries over a peak in the semiconductor cycle, renewed U.S.-Iran geopolitical tensions and rising oil prices.

One in 10 U.S. adults use or invest in crypto, usage rebounds after 3 years

About 10 percent of U.S. adults used or invested in cryptocurrencies in 2025, the highest level since 2022, a Federal Reserve survey showed. The main use remained investment and holding assets, with fewer than 2 percent saying they used crypto to buy goods or send money to acquaintances. Crypto payments were more common among unbanked adults. Usage was highest among those aged 30 to 44, and men’s rate was about three times women’s.
