Douzone Bizon, FuriosaAI sign MOU to commercialise NPU-based AI solutions
Douzone Bizon on Feb. 19 signed an agreement with AI chipmaker FuriosaAI at Douzone Eulji Tower in central Seoul to pursue global commercialisation of NPU-based AI solutions. The companies plan broad cooperation built on FuriosaAI’s second-generation Renegade (RNGD) chip, focusing on running and applying Douzone Bizon’s ONE AI in NPU environments. They will validate infrastructure suitability, service performance and power-efficiency metrics, including through a third-party verification framework.

LG CNS, FuriosaAI to introduce NPUs to agentic AI, target public AX market
LG CNS said on Thursday it will work with AI semiconductor company FuriosaAI to develop neural processing unit-based AI services and target the public AX market. The two will strengthen cooperation in the “independent AI foundation model” project involving an LG AI Research consortium. LG CNS will optimize and commercialize AI service performance based on K-EXAONE using FuriosaAI’s RNGD, while FuriosaAI will supply RNGD and provide NPU technical support.

FuriosaAI begins mass production of second-generation AI chip RNGD
FuriosaAI has entered mass production of its second-generation AI chip, RNGD, and will start shipping it in card form this week, the company said. FuriosaAI received 4,000 RNGD chips from TSMC and aims to mass-produce 20,000 units this year to target the enterprise market. The chip was unveiled at Stanford University\'s Hot Chips 2024 event and will be shipped after ASUS card manufacturing processes.
