K-AI models expand on-site use from national heritage to bank branches

South Korean artificial intelligence models are spreading across industrial sites, from national heritage services to in-car voice recognition and bank branch design. Motif Technologies will embed its AI model in services for the National Heritage Promotion Agency, including the text-based image generation service HAI, selected as an official case for the AI for Good Global Summit in July. LG AI Research and FuriosaAI are running EXAONE on FuriosaAI’s RNGD NPU, while SK Telecom’s 42dot unveiled Gleo AI. NC AI will support Shinhan Bank branch design using digital twins.

FuriosaAI to co-develop third-generation AI accelerator with Broadcom

FuriosaAI said on May 28 it has signed a strategic partnership with Broadcom to jointly develop a next-generation AI accelerator and inference platform. The companies plan to advance FuriosaAI’s Tensor Contraction Processor into a multi-die chiplet system and build an integrated infrastructure platform combining computing, networking and software. The collaboration is based on FuriosaAI’s second-generation RNGD accelerator, with third-generation samples planned for the first half of 2028.

MegazoneCloud selected as lead operator for Korea\'s AI semiconductor overseas demonstration support project

MegazoneCloud said on Thursday it was selected as the lead operator for the 2026 AI semiconductor overseas demonstration support project for server-type systems run by South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency. It formed the KRFSAI consortium with FuriosaAI, NC AI, Upstage, Uracle and others to design, build and operate an overseas server demonstration environment based on Korean AI semiconductors at Aramco Digital in Saudi Arabia.
