South Korean artificial intelligence (AI) models are spreading across industrial sites, from national heritage experiences to in-car voice recognition and bank branch design.

The Ministry of Science and ICT said on Sunday that Motif Technologies will work with the National Heritage Promotion Agency to embed its AI model in national heritage administration and public services. It also plans to install the model in the text-prompt national heritage image generation service HAI. HAI has been selected as an official presentation case for the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, Switzerland, in July.

Shim Jeong-taek (심정택), head of the AI Data Team at the National Heritage Promotion Agency, said, "Based on Motif AI technology, we will provide a service that allows people to directly generate and use national heritage images, and apply AI technology to administrative services to help improve public convenience."

LG AI Research and FuriosaAI are working on a full-stack collaboration to run the foundation model EXAONE on FuriosaAI’s second-generation neural processing unit (NPU) RNGD. The two companies have worked together since 2023 and plan to combine a domestic NPU with their own AI model to expand services into the global AI ecosystem.

SK Telecom unit 42dot recently unveiled the in-car voice AI agent Gleo AI. SKT’s AI model and 42dot are jointly developing an in-car large language model (LLM) and are also building a specialised AI agent voice dataset.

NC AI will introduce its AI model at Shinhan Bank’s financial branches. It will create a digital twin environment identical to offline branches, simulate counter layouts and kiosk configurations in advance, and support optimal financial environment design.

Song Mu-gyeong (송무경), a researcher at NC AI, said, "The goal is to use AI and digital twin technology to prove with data problems that were previously difficult to solve, and create an experience where customers feel, when they open the door to a branch, that it is a space designed for them."
