Hancom is working with affiliate Hancom Innostream and AI chip company FuriosaAI to target the neural processing unit (NPU)-based AX (AI Transformation) market.

The three aim to combine Hancom’s agentic OS with FuriosaAI’s second-generation AI accelerator, RNGD (Renegade), to support AX transitions for companies and public institutions.

Under the agreement, Hancom will lead AX solution development and commercialization. Hancom Innostream will be responsible for identifying market demand through training and education of NPU specialists. FuriosaAI will provide RNGD hardware and the software stack, and support technical cooperation for joint development of AX appliances and optimization for NPU environments.

Hancom will jointly develop with FuriosaAI an AX appliance for proof-of-concept use based on the agentic OS, and push for commercialization. Hancom will also take part in technical cooperation and joint verification to optimize the agentic OS for NPU environments.

Hancom plans to improve AI agent inference performance, power efficiency and stability through the partnership. It also plans to commercialize an on-premises AX appliance package aimed at companies and public institutions and to prepare measures to expand the market.

Hancom CEO Yeon-soo Kim (김연수) said, "This agreement will serve as an opportunity to strengthen competitiveness in the AX business by combining Hancom’s agentic OS and FuriosaAI’s NPU technology." He said, "Based on close cooperation that leads from training AI specialists to technology verification and commercialization, we will support AX transitions for companies and public institutions and accelerate our push into the market."
