AhnLab CloudMate wins public sector software award chairman\'s prize

AhnLab CloudMate, an AX and managed service provider-focused subsidiary of AhnLab, said on May 18 its AI assistant development platform ACMEi won the chairman\'s prize from the Public Sector Ordering Bodies Consultative Council in the AI software category at the 2026 6th Public Sector SW Awards held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul. The company said the platform was recognised for enabling rapid builds without repetitive development and for providing reliable responses by integrating internal data using retrieval-augmented generation technology.

Korea MSIT steps up administrative AX, to pilot AI agents in second half

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on May 13 it will push ahead with the AI-NEXT project to build AI-based specialised administrative services and create an intelligent work environment through AI transformation. The ministry said it will place the order via the Public Procurement Service and complete foundational work and pilot services by the second half of this year, followed by ongoing optimisation and upgrades. It plans to integrate internal documents and data and develop AI agents for selected tasks.

HPE expands hybrid cloud for AI workloads with unified management of VMs and Kubernetes

Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced private cloud, storage and cyber resilience offerings aimed at supporting AI workloads. The fourth-generation HPE Private Cloud uses HPE Morpheus software to manage virtual machines and Kubernetes containers through a single interface. It adds support for the latest HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers and integrates Veeam backup and recovery software and the HPE Zerto disaster recovery platform. HPE also added file storage support to its Alletra Storage MP X10000 platform and updated Zerto Software 10.9.
