AI and cloud company MegazoneCloud said on Sept. 7 it will build Hanmi Q-Agent, an AI agent to automate quality assurance (QA) work at Hanmi Pharmaceutical, based on its enterprise AI OS, AIR Studio.
MegazoneCloud said it has begun building the system after taking charge of implementing the AI solution for the project, which is being carried out as part of the AX One-Stop Voucher Support Program run by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
MegazoneCloud plans to build a search-based AI agent covering more than 4,000 quality documents accumulated by Hanmi Pharmaceutical. It plans to apply its proprietary enterprise AI OS AIR Studio to implement a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)-based agent that searches and summarises the documents and compares them with the latest regulations.
MegazoneCloud will fine-tune the domestic model Upstage Solar for Hanmi Pharmaceutical's GMP domain and embed it in the AIR Studio-based agent as the engine that generates answers from Hanmi Q-Agent.
Min-taek Seo (서민택), a vice president at MegazoneCloud, said the pharmaceutical quality field is the most difficult area to apply AI because accuracy and traceability are strictly required to the extent that a single word can determine a regulatory judgment. He said MegazoneCloud has verified AIR Studio and its fine-tuning capabilities by building generative AI across various industries, including HanaTour's AI chat counselling, and will use the project to lead the spread of domain AI in regulated industries.
