Jiran Jigyo Security steps up quantum-safe transition push, to work with more companies

Jiran Jigyo Security said on Wednesday it will step up its quantum-safe transition business and launch an execution project called Q-BRIDGE. The company plans to expand beyond applying post-quantum cryptography to individual products to a broader business targeting customers\' overall encryption environments. It said Q-BRIDGE will diagnose crypto assets, connect required technologies and products, and carry out phased transitions. It also formed a consortium with KAIST and several companies.

South Korea, France to expand AI, semiconductor and quantum cooperation

South Korea and France are expanding science, technology and digital cooperation focused on AI, semiconductors and quantum technology. South Korea\'s science ministry said the two sides signed an MOU in Paris on Sept. 8 local time during President Lee Jae-myung’s state visit. The agreement details an earlier letter of intent and includes regular meetings, joint research and efforts to identify projects by innovative companies and attract investment for mutual market entry.

Guhyeok-chae attends quantum strategic technology forum, vows to detail medium-to-long-term strategy

Guhyeok-chae (구혁채), first vice minister at the Ministry of Science and ICT, discussed a medium- to long-term development strategy for quantum technology with representatives from industry, academia and research. He attended the 2026 Quantum National Strategic Technology National Assembly Policy Forum held on Sept. 9 at the National Assembly Museum. The forum followed the government’s selection last month of quantum as a next-generation frontier field under its seven SEED future growth engines.
