Geely confirms Canada entry, first sales set for 2027 as models remain undisclosed

The stance sits uneasily with existing U.S. restrictions, including a 100 percent tariff on China-made cars and rules limiting U.S. sales of vehicles using China-developed software or hardware, set to apply from 2027 and 2030. EV batteries keep over 90 percent capacity after 150,000 km; seven models stand out

Electric vehicle batteries still keep the low-90 percent range of their initial capacity after about 150,000 km of driving, an analysis showed. EV diagnostics firm Aviloo compared retention rates for 20 major EV models using more than 500,000 battery health checks conducted from 2022 to 2026 across North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The results indicate degradation is generally gradual, though differences by model were large.
