Ford CEO says Chinese EVs will enter U.S. market within 5 to 10 years

Ford expects Chinese electric vehicle brands to enter the U.S. market within 5 to 10 years and has begun preparing, according to a report. CEO Jim Farley and executives told employees they see Chinese EVs arriving within the next decade. Ford does not rule out entry despite trade barriers and U.S. moves to restrict Chinese vehicle technology. The company is preparing a newly designed universal EV platform, with a midsize pickup due to go on sale in 2027.
