SEC chair reaffirms crypto regulatory push despite CLARITY bill hurdles

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has reaffirmed its plan to build a comprehensive cryptocurrency regulatory framework despite legislative uncertainty in Washington. SEC Chair Paul Atkins said on X that the agency would continue its fight to provide a common-sense and comprehensive U.S. crypto market structure. His remarks come as uncertainty rises around the CLARITY bill, which failed to clear a procedural threshold in the Senate on Sept. 15.

Bitcoin will rise in the end even if AI bubble bursts or rates rise

Bitwise said Bitcoin is likely to rise over the long term regardless of how artificial intelligence trends or U.S. interest rates evolve. CIO Matt Hougan said markets are weighing recession risks and what a collapse in an AI bubble would mean for Bitcoin.
