Nexon to publish Blizzard\'s Overwatch in South Korea; service to start Aug. 12
Nexon will take charge of South Korea PC publishing for Blizzard Entertainment\'s shooting game Overwatch and introduce a new live service, it said on Monday. The official service will begin on Aug. 12 alongside the Season 4 update. The companies plan Korea-tailored content and PC bang services. Users can link Nexon and Battle.net accounts through Aug. 11, keeping all existing items and progress and receiving rewards if linkage is maintained.

Naver\'s Chzzk to exclusively live stream all 25 events at EWC 2026
Naver will exclusively broadcast all events of the Esports World Cup 2026 through its streaming platform Chzzk. Naver said the global esports festival will run from July 6 to Aug. 23 and feature 25 events, with total prize money of more than $75 million. Chzzk will produce Korean-language broadcasts for nine events and support Korean for six more for finals only, while applying AI subtitles to English broadcasts. It will also add AI clip and chapter features.

Nexon Q1 operating profit jumps 40 percent on MapleStory, Ark Raiders success
Nexon said it achieved its best-ever quarterly results on the back of global success for the MapleStory franchise and Ark Raiders. The company posted first-quarter consolidated revenue of 1.42 trillion won and operating profit of 542.6 billion won, up 34 percent and 40 percent from a year earlier. Overseas revenue rose 59 percent. Nexon provided second-quarter revenue and profit guidance and outlined partnerships and upcoming game launches.
