Nexon said on Tuesday it has started domestic season 4 service for the PC game "Overwatch," developed by Blizzard Entertainment.

Nexon will provide the service as the domestic publisher of the PC version of Overwatch. Users can play Overwatch via Nexon.com and Nexon Plug as well as the existing Battle.net launcher.

It will give all users who complete account linking 5 legendary loot boxes, a "Nexon Mari" profile card, a player icon, a title and three types of cosmetic items. For users who took part in advance account linking through Aug. 11, it will additionally provide a "Nexon legendary loot box" that includes 20 mythic prisms and four legendary skins.

New content has been applied through the season 4 update, "Heroes of Busan." A second Korean hero, "D.Mon," has been added. D.Mon is an assault-role hero who is the leader of the "Mecha" unit and rides a dedicated machine, "Beast," using a plasma sword and shield.

The "Busan" map has been revamped to fit a storyline about an invasion by the Omnic faction, removing EMP structures and adding a mineral spring and an electronic billboard. The "Paraiso" and "Eichenwalde" maps have also been refreshed.

Nexon will run a Korea-only event to mark the official service. It will give 60 "mythic prisms" to users who log in to the game through Aug. 23. Through Sept. 15, it will hold an attendance event offering "watch points," "mythic prisms" and "credits." Points earned can be exchanged for items at a dedicated shop, "D.Va's Exchange," or used to enter draws for physical prizes such as desk pads and gaming gear.

From Aug. 14 to 19, it will hold a match prediction event for the official e-sports "Overwatch World Cup (OWWC)." It will provide a "D.Mon movie theater buddy" spray to participants who predict results for group-stage matches starting on Aug. 20, and plans to give legendary and e-sports loot boxes depending on correct picks.

Separately, Nexon plans to hold an offline user event, "Overwatch Day," at BEXCO in Busan for two days on Aug. 22 and 23. It plans a first-come, first-served event that gives 10,000 won in Nexon Cash and a limited poster to users who visit the site after applying in advance.
