[Digital Today reporter Ho-jeong Lee] Naver will exclusively broadcast every event of the world’s largest comprehensive esports competition through its streaming platform.

Naver said on Thursday that Chzzk will exclusively live stream all 25 events of the global esports festival Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC 2026), running from July 6 to Aug. 23. The tournament has total prize money of more than $75 million (about 110 billion won). The company expanded its coverage from 15 events last year to all 25 this year.

At this year’s tournament, Chzzk will produce Korean-language broadcasts for nine events with strong interest in South Korea, including League of Legends, Valorant, PUBG: Battlegrounds and Overwatch. It will also support Korean for six additional events for the finals only, and apply artificial intelligence (AI) subtitles to English-language broadcasts. The AI subtitles provide translations in a real-time, low-latency live environment, reflecting game-domain terms and context.

Chzzk will also apply an AI clip function to major Korean-language broadcast events to quickly generate highlights. It will introduce an AI chapter function across all Korean-language broadcast events to make it easier to navigate game flow.

Chzzk’s broadcast of the Road to EWC qualifiers held in May drew 7.37 million cumulative viewers and 15.62 million cumulative views across all events. A total of 1,142 streamers took part in co-viewing at the time. It plans to support a co-viewing ecosystem at the main tournament that combines the official broadcast, streamer commentary and live chat. It also plans to present streamers’ on-site visit content from Paris during the tournament, along with a special EWC edition of its original League of Legends analysis podcast, "Sseul.Keun.Ji".

Shin Seul-gi (신슬기), Naver’s game content partnership leader, said, "As EWC is an esports festival that brings together globally popular events and diverse fandoms, Chzzk plans to provide a viewing environment where fans can enjoy familiar events more deeply and new events more easily by combining full-event broadcasts, AI-based convenience features and co-viewing content." She added, "We will continue to expand Chzzk’s differentiated viewing culture where users enjoy and participate together in a multifaceted way, based on popular intellectual property (IP), the streamer ecosystem and Naver’s technology capabilities."
