SOOP said on Thursday it will officially livestream the main stage and key esports content from BlizzCon 2026, held Sept. 12-13 local time at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.

SOOP will broadcast the Blizzard Classic Cup and the Overwatch World Cup (OWWC) main event and finals to users in South Korea.

The Blizzard Classic Cup is a team competition featuring 4 titles: StarCraft: Remastered, StarCraft II, Warcraft III: Reforged and Heroes of the Storm. Players representing each title will take part, including South Korean players such as Lim Yo-hwan (임요환), Kang Min (강민) and Jang Min-cheol (장민철).

The OWWC, which held its group stage in Busan in August, will also continue with the main event and finals at BlizzCon. The 8 countries that advance from the group stage will play a single-elimination format to determine the champion.

South Korea's national team won the OWWC title for 3 straight years from 2016 to 2018, but has not won since, through the 2023 tournament.

SOOP will provide official in-game item drops and separate special drops for OWWC viewers. It will also run co-streaming in which streamers active on the platform broadcast key BlizzCon programs and OWWC matches together.

BlizzCon 2026 will also feature an opening ceremony announcing new updates on Blizzard's major games, along with developer panels, game demos and community programs.
