Orbital targets 2028 first launch for space AI data centre vision

South Korea’s first geostationary satellite Cheollian-1 completes 16-year mission
South Korea’s first geostationary satellite, Cheollian Satellite-1, has completed its mission after 16 years and was placed into a disposal orbit. The Korea Aerospace Research Institute said it finished disposal manoeuvres and deactivated components at 1:32 a.m. on June 8, ending operations. The satellite, launched in June 2010, conducted weather and ocean observations and communications tasks beyond its seven-year design life.

Talk of a possible merger between SpaceX and Tesla has resurfaced as SpaceX nears a Nasdaq listing.
