Samsung Electronics is strengthening security features on its Galaxy devices to pre-empt mobile financial fraud such as malicious apps, messages and voice phishing. From One UI 9.0, set to ship on new smartphones in the second half of the year, it will enhance phishing app risk alerts and block suspicious apps from running. It is also expanding malicious message filtering and adding AI-based features including call screening and real-time voice phishing alerts.

Some software features on Samsung Electronics\' flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra could also be useful for users of the mid-range Galaxy A57, an assessment said. While hardware differentiation such as camera performance, chipsets and the S Pen is understandable given the price gap, the report said some convenience-related software features could provide practical benefits to more users.
