Samsung Electronics has received the top award at the world’s largest mobile communications exhibition with the Galaxy S26 Ultra. GSMA said on Wednesday it awarded Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy S26 Ultra the Best in Show prize at Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC26) in Barcelona, Spain.

GSMA holds the Global Mobile Awards during MWC each year to recognise innovative products in the mobile industry. The Best in Show prize is selected by a panel of experts made up of analysts, journalists and influencers worldwide. It is awarded to an industry-leading innovative product among the many products on display.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra operates through an organic combination of advanced hardware and software based on One UI 8.5. It offers enhanced Galaxy AI and security and privacy protection features. It was assessed as delivering an intuitive mobile AI experience that anticipates and helps meet user needs.

It is especially marked by being the first in the world to feature a “privacy display”. It showcased advanced display engineering technology that protects user privacy while maintaining sharp image quality. It also includes a Galaxy-exclusive chipset that enables a faster Galaxy AI experience.

Choi Seung-eun (최승은), head of the marketing center at Samsung Electronics’ MX Division and a vice president, said it was an honour for the Galaxy S26 Ultra to win the Best in Show prize at this year’s Global Mobile Awards. He said the Galaxy S26 Ultra is an agentic AI phone that concentrates Samsung Electronics’ capabilities, and that the company will continue to achieve mobile innovation that goes beyond technological limits.
