Cisco tests LLMs for security incident reports; time saved but hallucination risk remains
Cisco shared results of an experiment using AI to write reports for security incident response training, concluding it saves time but carries many risks. Nate Forth (네이트 포르스) of Cisco Talos said large language models can produce serious inaccuracies, odd conclusions and inconsistent writing styles. Cisco identified four main error patterns and said task-specific prompts and clear source, style and format rules reduced hallucinations. Drafting time fell 50%, but session mixing and weak proofreading prompts remained problems.

Nate launches members-only closed shopping mall \'Nate OnDeal\'
Nate Communications said on Tuesday it has opened Nate OnDeal, a members-only closed curated shopping service combining Nate’s community assets with commerce. The company said the closed deal-commerce service offers benefits to Nate members and aims to secure price competitiveness by reducing distribution stages and improving marketing efficiency. Digital marketing firm Incross will handle operations and manage suppliers. The service features curated products for users in their 30s and 40s.

Prediction markets blur line between news and gambling
Prediction market platforms Polymarket and Kalshi are blurring the line between news and gambling, The Verge reported. Polymarket is expanding a partnership with Substack to share betting data and reward creators who use it. Dow Jones has reflected Polymarket data in content including The Wall Street Journal, and CNN and CNBC have used Kalshi data. The Verge said betting data is not news and noted insider trading allegations.
