Mysterious string etched into Bitcoin for three weeks; Galaxy Digital says unlikely to be ciphertext

An unidentified string repeatedly recorded on the Bitcoin blockchain for three weeks is more likely data used to test automated tools than a genuine encrypted message, an analysis said. Galaxy Research, part of Galaxy Digital, reviewed the activity and found patterns consistent with automation and text characteristics that did not match common ciphers. The strings were written via OP_RETURN, enabled by relaxed Bitcoin Core v30 rules. Funding was traced to 0.033 bitcoin, but the operator was not identified.

Korea\'s three mobile carriers launch Apple\'s iPhone Duo, begin activating preorders

Apple’s first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, was officially launched in South Korea on Oct. 23. The country’s three mobile carriers began activating devices for preorder customers and rolled out promotions such as plan discounts, trade-in programmes and subscription bundles. Preorder data showed strong demand for the Star White colour and 256GB models, with some online stores selling out initial allotments shortly after reservations opened.

Tamar AI expands Korea AI film creation ecosystem, wraps up AI video hackathon

AI creative technology company Tamar AI said it has concluded Arena Peak Asia, an AI video creation hackathon held simultaneously in Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo from Oct. 16 to 18. In South Korea, 40 teams produced AI short films over 32 hours, and team YAHO won a bronze prize in the combined judging across South Korea, China and Japan. Tamar AI will screen the winning works on Oct. 24 at Seoul AI Film Night.
