Genians develops AI-based K-security integrated platform targeting Middle East market

Genians said on Tuesday it has developed an AI-based K-cybersecurity integrated management platform called the Nexus Framework under a government-supported national project. The initiative focuses on building a managed security system optimised for the Middle East to help Korean companies expand globally. Genians said it first unveiled the platform at the GISEC security exhibition in Dubai and integrated its NAC, ZTNA and Insights E products to support zero trust architecture.

Naver Cloud, SKT face off in cybersecurity AI foundation model bid

South Korea’s government project to develop a cybersecurity-specialised AI foundation model has narrowed to a two-way contest between consortia led by Naver Cloud and SK Telecom, the science ministry said. Naver Cloud set a goal of embedding national cyber security capabilities and formed a broad consortium spanning security firms, demand-side institutions and AI companies. SKT aims to prove an “agentic security service” for enterprise use, linking the model to existing security monitoring systems.

Genians named KOSDAQ Rising Star for fourth straight year

South Korean cybersecurity firm Genians said on Aug. 13 it was selected for the Korea Exchange-hosted 2026 KOSDAQ Rising Star programme for a fourth straight year. It submitted its Genian NAC network access control solution in the cybersecurity category and received high scores across quantitative and qualitative evaluations. The selection will provide a package of support such as personnel, funding and consulting to strengthen global capabilities.
