Gu Hyeok-chae meets Estonia education ministry to discuss advanced technology cooperation

Gu Hyeok-chae, first vice minister at South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT, met Estonia\'s Minister of Education and Research Kristina Kallas on Wednesday to discuss cooperation in advanced science and technology. The meeting was held at Estonia\'s request. The two sides shared policy and R&D updates in energy technology, quantum, post-quantum cryptography and AI, and agreed on the need for international cooperation to secure strategic autonomy.

KTcs earns HRD excellence certification for AX talent development

KTcs said on Monday it was selected as an outstanding institution in the large-company category of the 2026 Human Resources Development Excellence Certification, in recognition of its AX-focused talent development. The certification is jointly hosted by four ministries and administered by the Korea Industrial Human Resources Corp. KTcs said it trained 254 AI staff and reported average productivity gains of 30 percent after applying AI-based automation.

Elice Group wins Best HRD certification

Elice Group said on Sunday it has won certification in the small and medium-sized enterprise category of the 2026 Best HRD programme. The certification is jointly overseen by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. It is granted after a comprehensive evaluation of HR management and HR development systems and is valid for three years.
