Big Tech shifts terminology after Trump warns AI users are White House enemies

U.S. President Donald Trump has declared he will refer to artificial intelligence as super intelligence, and major Silicon Valley companies are following suit. Trump said “SI” better reflects technological progress and signed an executive order directing federal agencies to use the term in official documents and websites. Elon Musk, Salesforce’s Marc Benioff, Nvidia and Microsoft have begun using the term. The order does not require private companies to change terminology.

Salesforce CEO says Anthropic bet after missing OpenAI could yield tens of billions in profit

Salesforce expects large gains from its investment in Anthropic after it was unable to invest in OpenAI, Business Insider reported. CEO Marc Benioff (마크 베니오프) said he initially wanted to invest in OpenAI but could not because of its relationship with Microsoft. He said Salesforce’s ties with Anthropic have grown beyond a financial stake into close business collaboration, with products such as Slackbot running on Anthropic’s Claude model.

Figure AI says it is creating a new species as it develops humanoid robots

Figure AI founder and CEO Brett Adcock (Brett Adcock) said the company is creating a “new species” through humanoid robot development. Speaking at Salesforce’s Dreamforce, he outlined a goal beyond building machines, aiming to create a new order of intelligence. Figure AI has released promotional and workplace demonstrations, including a livestream in which Figure 03 robots sorted more than 100,000 parcels using its Helix-02 system. Limits of controlled tests and real-world reliability remain unresolved.
