Salesforce said it unveiled a new AI interface layer, AIforce, at its annual Dreamforce conference held in San Francisco on Sept. 15 local time.
AIforce supports access to Salesforce platform functions at the point where people work with AI agents.
The existing Model Context Protocol (MCP) technology only allowed companies to connect agents to data sources. Salesforce explained that AIforce lets users work from the AI agents they use without directly accessing Salesforce software.
Salesforce also introduced ClaudeForce, SlackForce and Agentforce Coworker alongside AIforce.
ClaudeForce is the result of cooperation between Salesforce and Anthropic and supports using Salesforce functions directly in Claude.
It comes with 37 sales skills spanning everything from lead generation to pipeline management. Skills for service, marketing, commerce and specific industries will be added soon.
SlackForce can be used inside the Slack messenger platform screen. The SlackForce Surface function gathers information scattered across Salesforce or chats so all team members can view it together, leave comments and create a workspace screen directly in Slack. Using Slack CRM automatically reflects Slack conversations and updates in Salesforce, allowing users to register new customers or log call details without leaving Slack.
Agentforce Coworker is an AI companion that can be used by connecting to Salesforce from devices such as PCs or smartphones, within the scope of business rules and permissions, security and governance.
Coworker can call up specialist agents that companies have created in advance and combine them to fit company circumstances. It can be used immediately with a single click, or scaled easily by adding agents one by one.
Salesforce Chair and CEO Marc Benioff (마크 베니오프) said, "AI is creating an interface revolution," adding, "We combined customer context and model intelligence to create an intelligent system that is safely governed and works with existing core systems."
Salesforce released "Headless 360" in March, targeting AI agents.
"Headless 360" supports AI agents in directly calling and executing full Salesforce platform functions through APIs, MCP tools and command line interface (CLI) commands, without people opening screens and clicking. Previously, using the Salesforce platform required people to connect through a web browser and click through screens, but Headless 360 removes the screen.
Salesforce also introduced a headless toolkit when it unveiled Headless 360 to support developers in creating AI screens or functions tailored to their companies.
AIforce performs the headless toolkit connection work on behalf of users, supporting immediate screen creation without development knowledge. Salesforce Applications and Marketing Solutions President Patrick Stokes (패트릭 스톡스) likened it by saying, "If Headless 360 is the ingredients, AIforce is the cookie baked from those ingredients."
Salesforce also opened a partner network called Agent Exchange to build and distribute interfaces and agents using the headless toolkit. Anthropic, AWS, Google and OpenAI introduced services through Agent Exchange.
