LG Uplus to build AI voice spam response system with KISA

LG Uplus will build an AI-based voice spam response system with the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA). The two signed an agreement in Seoul on July 7 to strengthen responses to voice spam. The partnership will link LG Uplus\' AI service ixi-O with KISA public data to improve blocking of spam calling numbers. KISA’s about 15 million voice spam reports a year will be analyzed to improve detection accuracy and shorten response times.

LG CNS, Doosan broaden cooperation on AI, robots and data centres

LG CNS said on Thursday it signed a memorandum of understanding with Doosan to strengthen global competitiveness in new businesses spanning artificial intelligence transformation, robot transformation, data centres and cloud. The companies plan to set up a business cooperation body within a month of signing and draw up operating plans. Cooperation includes AI platforms, potential robot collaboration, data centre and cloud synergies, hydrogen fuel cell adoption and manufacturing AX using digital twin technology.

LG Innotek shifts business focus from smartphone substrates to AI servers

LG Innotek is expanding its business focus beyond mobile into AI servers and data centres as demand shifts in the semiconductor substrate market with the spread of inference AI. The company outlined a mid- to long-term growth strategy built around FC-CSP, FC-BGA and RF-SiP substrates. It is accelerating capacity investment in South Korea and Vietnam. Its package solution business posted higher sales and profit last year, and it set targets for 2030 and 2031.
