SK AX said on Sept. 14 it won a ministerial award at a case presentation contest on best practices in operating the government-recognised corporate qualification system hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The award was presented at the ‘Human Resource Development Conference’ held at COEX Magok in Seoul.

The government-recognised corporate qualification system is a scheme under which the government officially recognises outstanding qualifications that companies run in-house to improve workers’ job competencies. SK AX said its self-developed generative AI education and certification programmes, AI Literacy and AI Bootcamp, were recognised as Level 2 and Level 1 qualifications for the use of generative AI, respectively. SK AX has been proactively promoting training for employees and cultivating experts with the goal of AI innovation across its work.

Including AI Literacy and AI Bootcamp, it operates the ‘SK AI Competency Model’ (SK AI qualification system), which enables employees to receive systematic training based on their job roles and AI utilisation capabilities. It plans to continue expanding the AI competency certification system to general companies and educational institutions.

Kim Min-hwan (김민환), head of HRX Promotion at SK AX, said, “This award is the result of recognition of the credibility of the AI competency certification platform and its value for on-site use.” He added, “We will go beyond supporting the growth of employees’ AI capabilities and continue developing it into an AI competency certification system that is trusted and used in industrial settings.”
