LG Uplus set up an event to share in-house technology cases, including AI, and to engage with future technology talent.

LG Uplus held '2026 U+ TECH PLUS' on Sept. 7 at its Magok headquarters in Gangseo district, Seoul, the company said on Tuesday.

U+ TECH PLUS is an event where LG Uplus technology experts share research and development experience with external talent. Started in 2023, the event is held for the fourth time this year. About 500 people attended, including LG Uplus employees and master’s and doctoral students and professors.

A total of 23 sessions were held on AI, software, networks, security and quality. Research fellows and senior fellows in LG Uplus' AI, software, network and security fields introduced the status of research and development and cases of technology innovation applied in day-to-day work. LG Uplus also invited master’s and doctoral students in major technology fields such as AI, networks and security.

The event also held a panel talk on organisational culture and a networking programme. Participants asked LG Uplus employees about their duties, the capabilities required for their roles and career development processes, and shared on-the-job experience. LG Uplus plans to continue expanding exchanges with research talent in major technology fields and cooperation with university labs.

A master’s or doctoral student who attended the event said, "I was able to see the technology challenges practitioners deal with in real work and the process of solving problems."
