Hayes warns AI bubble burst could hit crypto, sells altcoins and focuses on BTC and ETH
BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes said he has sold all major altcoin holdings and refocused his crypto portfolio on bitcoin and ether. He warned that if enthusiasm for investment in the AI industry fades in the short term, risk assets broadly could face a correction. Hayes cited oil prices, potential large IPOs by SpaceX, Anthropic and OpenAI, and possible anti-AI policies by U.S. President Donald Trump as key factors that could shake the AI boom.

CryptoQuant warns bitcoin could resume decline as 200-day moving average looms
CryptoQuant said bitcoin risks turning lower after touching its 200-day moving average, a level that acted as strong resistance in past bear markets. It cited a move to the key resistance zone and expanding profit-taking as grounds for a possible short-term decline. Traders’ unrealised profit reached 17.7 percent on May 5, the highest since June last year, and realised gains jumped, including 14,600 BTC cashed out on May 4 worth about $1.2 billion.
