Lotte to run predictable rolling recruitment in March
Lotte will select entry-level employees through a quarterly regular hiring system and start its predictable rolling recruitment from March 4, it said on Tuesday. Fifteen affiliates, including Lotte Department Store, Lotte Hotel and Lotte Duty Free, will participate in the March round. Openings cover about 30 job fields such as merchandising, sales, marketing and management support, with hires in the hundreds. The group will also hold campus job fairs at seven universities from March 3 to 9.

South Korea’s stock market has extended a sharp early-year rally, with the KOSPI rising above 4,400 in two sessions. The government plans stronger tax incentives including a new individual savings account (ISA), a return-to-domestic-market account (RIA) for reinvestment from overseas stocks, and low-rate separate taxation for dividends. It also plans to raise securities transaction tax rates back to 2023 levels while advancing its value-up programme.

South Korean financial industry leaders met in Seoul on Jan. 5 for a New Year gathering and pledged to press ahead despite ongoing domestic and external uncertainty. Deputy Prime Minister Koo Yun-cheol stressed finance’s role and outlined plans to start supplying an annual 30 trillion won National Growth Fund and expand tax incentives for venture and innovation capital. Financial regulators urged productive, inclusive and trusted finance, stronger consumer protection and careful monetary policy management.
