Lotte will select entry-level employees through a quarterly regular hiring system. Lotte said on Tuesday it will start its "predictable rolling recruitment" from March 4. Fifteen affiliates will take part in the March hiring round, including Lotte Department Store, Lotte Hotel, Lotte Duty Free, Lotte Advanced Materials and Lotte Chilsung Beverage. Positions are available in about 30 fields including MD (merchandising), sales, marketing and management support. Total hiring will be in the hundreds.

"Predictable rolling recruitment" is a system in which affiliates align hiring schedules to March, June, September and December to select entry-level employees at the same time. Lotte has operated the system since 2024. It regularised rolling recruitment that had been run on an irregular basis.

Lotte Department Store and Lotte Mart and Super will select entry-level hires for MD and marketing roles through the "I'M (I'm Mania)" track. The "I'M" track focuses on practical job capabilities. It assesses applicants' ability to carry out practical work and their vision for the job. It excludes academic grades, language test scores and other "specs" from evaluation criteria. Unlike the general track, it includes a portfolio review that can show job-related capabilities and achievements. It evaluates practical job performance through an on-site audition.

Lotte will also run an employment support programme alongside recruitment. It will hold job fairs at seven universities from March 3 to 9 in line with the March recruitment schedule. Affiliate HR staff and incumbent employees will attend. The events are set to offer recruitment consultations, including job introductions and guidance on the selection process.

A Lotte official said, "Predictable rolling recruitment is a system designed to help job seekers establish employment strategies in a systematic way." The official added, "We will expand points of contact with applicants through on-site consultation programmes linked to recruitment and continue job-focused selection."
