National AI Strategy Committee discusses open AI ecosystem cooperation with AMD CEO Lisa Su
South Korea\'s National AI Strategy Committee said Vice Chair Lim Moon-young (임문영) and presidential AI and Future Planning Secretary Ha Jung-woo (하정우) met AMD CEO Lisa Su to discuss AI cooperation between Korea and AMD. They introduced the country\'s strategy to become one of the top three AI powers, including building a nationwide AI expressway, and heard Su\'s assessment of her visit. The sides agreed to expand public-private cooperation on AMD\'s open AI ecosystem and explore broader collaboration tied to the K-Moonshot project.

Upstage to adopt AMD MI355 GPUs for Solar model and document AI development
Upstage said on Wednesday it will expand its strategic partnership with AMD to speed development and deployment of next-generation AI models and help build Korea’s sovereign AI ecosystem. Chief executive Kim Sung-hoon met AMD CEO Lisa Su in Seoul to discuss cooperation on regional AI innovation. Upstage plans to adopt AMD Instinct MI355 GPUs over the next year under a multi-stage roadmap, using them for its Solar large language model and document-processing AI solutions.

Samsung Electronics signs AI memory deal with AMD to supply HBM4 first
Samsung Electronics will give AMD first access to its next-generation AI memory, HBM4, under an agreement signed at Samsung’s Pyeongtaek site. Executives including Jun Young-hyun and AMD CEO Lisa Su attended the signing. Samsung plans to supply HBM4 for AMD’s next-generation Instinct MI455X AI accelerator GPU. The companies will also work on DDR5 memory solutions and discuss foundry cooperation for AMD’s future products.
