LayerZero, Kita to support moving tokenised bank deposits on public blockchains

LayerZero and Kita have formed a partnership to support moving regulated commercial bank funds on public blockchains. LayerZero said it will combine its omnichain interoperability protocol with Kita’s compliance-built infrastructure. Institutions will be able to move funds for cash management and payments on the Kita network, Ethereum, Solana and Base. The partnership centres on the Kita stablecoin, a tokenised bank-deposit asset held through a licensed fintech platform.

USDT0 trading volume tops $100 billion 530 days after launch

USDT0, an omnichain Tether solution, surpassed $100 billion in trading volume on June 25 local time. Co-founder Lorenzo Romagnoli (로렌조 로마뇰리) said the project reached the milestone 530 days after its January 2025 launch, calling it the fastest-growing stablecoin to date. USDT0 is pegged 1:1 with USDT and is integrated natively on 23 chains, with additional support via a compatibility layer called Mesh.

Flare co-founder welcomes Charles Hoskinson return after XRP-BTC clash

Flare co-founder Hugo Philion publicly supported Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson\'s return to activity on X, after the two clashed over XRP and bitcoin interoperability and bitcoin-based DeFi strategy. Philion said the crypto industry would be worse off without Hoskinson, Cardano and Midnight, while maintaining Cardano was duplicating work that could be done using FXRP and Flare Bitcoin via LayerZero. Hoskinson had briefly reduced public activity before returning.
