XRP Ledger enters Brazil capital markets, applied to $4 trillion securities market

Brazilian financial market infrastructure firm CSD BR is linking the XRP Ledger to regulated securities infrastructure. The integration will begin by using the XRP Ledger as an additional recordkeeping and audit layer for investment fund units, starting with units from BTG Pactual that are currently deposited at CSD BR. Ripple executives said it is the first public integration of the XRP Ledger into core financial market infrastructure of this scale and said CSD BR has more than 22 trillion Brazilian reais in registered assets.

Naver seeks entry into Mexico AI ecosystem, expands cooperation with government and companies

Naver met Mexico\'s government and local IT companies to explore business cooperation centred on AI, data centres and digital twins. The company said its CEO Choi Soo-yeon (최수연) and other executives visited Mexico on Sept. 24 to 25 as part of a presidential economic delegation. Choi met Economy Minister Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon and other officials to discuss public-sector AI transformation and collaboration on high-performance computing and AI clusters.

Venezuela crypto activity doubles in a year, fastest growth in Latin America

Venezuela\'s cryptocurrency activity more than doubled in a year, posting the fastest growth among major Latin American markets as dollar-pegged stablecoins are used to store value and for remittances and payments. Activity reached $39.1 billion in the year to June 30, up 107.2 percent. Brazil had the region’s largest market at $252.5 billion. Chainalysis data also showed a sharp rise in outflows after political upheaval in January.
