Naver’s commerce business is extending a steep growth run, with its share of total revenue topping 30 percent for the first time and shopping app users reaching record highs. Multiple factors are seen driving the gains, including a revamped fee structure, expansion of overseas consumer-to-consumer platforms, efforts to strengthen fresh food offerings and the introduction of a shopping AI agent. Brokerages expect strong growth to continue this year.

Musinsa said it will take a zero-tolerance approach to brands on its platform caught engaging in “tag switching,” including possible sales suspensions, contract termination and permanent expulsion. The move follows controversy involving handmade shoe brand Marzin and comes as Musinsa prepares for an IPO, with industry expecting a preliminary listing review filing in July. Musinsa cited limits on pre-inspection in a consignment model and plans an AI-based online inspection system next month.
