KB Financial to contribute 3 billion won to mutual growth fund, seeks 5 billion won sub-fund

KB Financial Group is setting up a mutual growth master fund to support impact companies that pursue both social value and financial performance. KB Financial said it formed the fund on Sept. 30 with the Large & Small Business & Rural Cooperation Foundation and Korea Venture Investment Corp. It said this is the first case of using mutual growth cooperation funds for venture investment after an enforcement decree revision. The fund will also seek to build a 5 billion won sub-fund through private matching.

Nexchange launches fractional investment OTC exchange, appoints Jung Yoo-shin as CEO

Nexchange, a preparatory company set up to handle over-the-counter distribution of fractional investment products, has officially launched. Twenty-one institutions including Nextrade held its inaugural general meeting on Sept. 29 and appointed Jung Yoo-shin as the first chief executive. The company plans to begin trading products such as music intellectual property, aircraft engines and real estate loan receivables, and later expand to artworks, webtoons and performances.

Dell Technologies supplies GPU servers to Korea Venture Investment to support on-premises AX

Dell Technologies said on Sept. 22 it will supply its Dell PowerEdge XE7745 high-performance GPU servers to Korea Venture Investment, a public agency under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and support on-premises enterprise AI transformation. The project focuses on applying agent AI to actual work to raise productivity and modernise systems. Korea Venture Investment built on-premises AI infrastructure to meet security and network-separation requirements and plans PoCs including a trial deployment in its VICS system.
