Neptune picked for KOCCA K-culture project to automate webtoon IP game development with AI
Neptune said on Thursday it has been selected to carry out the Korea Creative Content Agency\'s \"K-Culture Global Startup Fostering Technology Development\" project. As part of a 2026 research and development programme led by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and KOCCA, Neptune will form a consortium with Super Planet, Content First and Korea University. The consortium will receive 7.7 billion won in support over about 2 years and 9 months.

South Korean game companies are set to appear in succession at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne and Tokyo Game Show 2026 in Chiba, highlighting new PC, console and subculture titles. Krafton plans a large booth and five new games, while Pearl Abyss teams up with Samsung Electronics to show Crimson Desert. NC runs a B2B booth via its North American unit. Firms also cite overseas-focused revenue and wider platform strategies behind the push.

Dlive TV signs MOU with French K-content platform KFTV
Dlive TV, which operates Dlive regional channels, has signed a memorandum of understanding with French Korea-focused content platform KFTV, it said on Wednesday. Under the agreement, KFTV will supply Dlive TV-produced regional content across Europe through its OTT platform Kyool. Kyool is a mobile and short-form focused OTT platform developed by KFTV that offers Korean content including dramas, entertainment shows and animation.
